From the beginning of the pandemic through today, many of us have faced challenges in both our personal and professional lives. The brave men and women who serve this country are no exception to this new reality.
Deployments have been extended, change of stations have been delayed, and the ever-present risk of the pandemic is always looming. What’s more, tens of thousands of our nation’s Guard and Reserve members have been activated to provide COVID support. It’s safe to say that all of our military members could use a morale boost!
In honor of Military Appreciation month in May, our CWTSatoTravel teams came together to show these brave men and women that we support them, “the world’s most important customer.”
We hosted a Go Camo Care Package Collection to help Soldiers’ Angels collect the top-requested items for care packages to send to deployed service members for the entire month of May and are happy to report that we met and exceeded our goal of donating over 300 items!
Thank you to our partners for your participation in this worthwhile cause to support Soldiers’ Angels along with the men and women who serve our country.
A special thank you to the Carlson Family Foundation, who donated $10,000 toward our cause, and to Wyndham, who has donated loyalty point packages for Soldiers' Angels. These may be used for providing overnight stays for hospitalized veterans who are being sent home; homeless veterans who need a couple of days stay before getting transportation getting home; and special circumstances related to the outpatient stay of the veteran.
