CWTSatoTravel Well Represented at NDTA GovTravels Conference

Our CWTSatoTravel was excited to return this year to the NDTA GovTravels conference at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center. The conference returned to an in-person format this year for the first time since 2020. Our team was well-represented this year with over a dozen CWTSatoTravel employees on hand to represent the company.

CWTSatoTravel was proud to again be a platinum sponsor for this three-day event. Our team staffed a booth in the exhibit hall and was about to network and interact with government and military travelers as well as travel vendors. It was wonderful to once again be able to interact again in-person with our colleagues across the industry. CWT was also pleased to lead two different educational sessions at the conference.

The first educational session was on small-meetings and how the meeting world has changed post-pandemic and how. Our session leader, Beau Ballin, discussed how technology can help companies and groups do things like reduce time spent on booking meetings, optimize costs, and more. The second educational session focused on smarter travel and how travel operators are working to be more sustainable. In this session, Charlie Sullivan discussed sustainability in corporate travel and how we’ve seen sustainability become a major priority in business travel these last several years. Charlie also went into detail on how the airline industry, hotel companies, and ground transportation agencies can work toward both mid-term and long-term sustainable transformation through things like fleet upgrades for airlines and electric vehicles for hotels.

CWT Chief Customer Officer Nick Vournakis was part of a panel that focused on post-pandemic industry challenges. Nick and other industry leaders spoke candidly about the many challenges facing the industry currently and how the industry is moving forward in our new reality.

Lastly, CWTSatoTravel was also proud to accept the NDTA 2022 Corporate Distinguished Service Award. CWTSatoTravel president Greg Harkins accepted the award on behalf of CWTSatoTravel.
